A SCOTTISH BASKET HILTED BACK SWORD IN RELIC CONDITION,
mid-18th Century, 'Glasgow Manor' basket, junction plates pierced with circles and triangles forged together with side bars, domed bun pommel, blade fullered on both sides with single-edged half length, attached to one side is a worn inked hand-written paper label stating 'This sword was found at the Battle of Culloden in 1876 and kept in my collection', heavily rusted with the blade tip missing, condition is typical of those found in excavated graves from the period, 37in. overall
